We started out from our hotel and walked through Rome towards the Colosseum. We were walking down a quiet street when we encountered a fruit and vegetable stand.
The Trevi fountain was being restored when we visited, the fountain was empty and surrounded by a tall fence.
The approach to the Colosseum is surrounded by the construction of a new metro line. The colours of the buildings behind the Collesium show though the archways of the outer wall.
The colours of all the umbreallas‘ caught my eye against the drab colour of the Patheon.
After a long day we left The Vatican as the sun started to set.
As we walked back into central Rome we encountered move showers.
